Yassamin Hazrati

Yassamin Hazrati, MD, moved to the Bay Area from New York after completing her residency and fellowship. She is currently the chief of the department of orthopedic and podiatric surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo CA. Yassamin is also a painter and enjoys singing with her two children.

Maryam Majidy

Maryam is a nutritionist and a registered dietitian. She has worked in many areas of nutrition, with the elderly, in foodservice management and hospitals. Her specialty and interest lies in renal and dialysis patients. Since the birth of her daughter, she has been working with Iranian.com in business development, sponsoring events and newly found artists, and pursuing her interest in playing traditional Iranian music.

Yasaman Nouri Massih

Yasaman graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Molecular & Cell biology and Near Eastern studies. She spent five years post graduation doing research in Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's at a South San Francisco Biotech company. During the past four years she completed her Master's in Clinical Research from UCSF, while raising her two children. She is currently managing a Clinical Trial in Breast Cancer in the Alta Bates Cancer Research Department.

Yalda Modabber

A former molecular immunologist, Yalda has spent the last 10 years working as a strategist and evaluator. Prior to officially resigning from consulting and running Golestan full time, Yalda consulted startups to Fortune 50 corporations, and non-profits organizations. A few of her clients include Agilent Technologies, American Express, Air Traffic Control Education, C3Lab, YouthNoise, The Linus Group, Barcleys Global Investors, Reboot, and the Iranian Scholarship Foundation.

Ladan Sobhani

Ladan Sobhani graduated from UC Davis with a major in International Relations and minor in Environmental Economics. Following graduation Ms. Sobhani spent a life-transforming year in Venezuela teaching English and learning Spanish. Her eye-opening travels in Latin America led her to work two years at the International Forum on Globalization, a non-profit think tank that sheds light on the impact of globalization on people and the environment. Ms. Sobhani went on to spend five years organizing and leading political fact finding delegations to the Middle East for the human rights organization, Global Exchange. Currently she works as the Program Manager at Green For All, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty.
